What is Rotary?
An organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will and peace in the world.
Who is Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise?
We’re one of eight Rotary clubs in the Reno-Sparks area. Chartered on April 13, 1989, we were the first club in Northern Nevada to charter with women and paved the way for the first female president in our District. Our membership includes an eclectic mix of 50+ business and professional leaders from a wide variety of industries and groups.
What do we do?
We love kids! We’re a Partner in Education to Virginia Palmer Elementary, support the Rotary Youth Exchange Program and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), an intensive training program for community youth leaders, give scholarships to art, music, culinary and academic students. We’ve supported the anti drug program, DARE, and provided handicap access playground equipment for the льготы ветеранам боевых действий. We’ve also repaired and painted homes and fences for senior citizens, cleaned up parks, packed food at the Food Bank and participated in many other community service projects. We’re committed to eradicating Polio through the PolioPlus program.
We Give Back.
There is always a place in Rotary for those who believe in and demonstrate a commitment to Service above Self. Rotary Sunrise is for those interested in broadening their circle of friends and acquaintances, networking with others, improving leadership skills, increasing their knowledge of other businesses and professions and having FUN while serving others.
