Showcasing Nevada’s Scenic Treasures and Culinary Delights
(Reno, NV) – Gather up the family and your cycling buddies in Fall 2011 and head to the Battle Born state for the scenic and delicious Edible Pedal 100. The charitable century bicycle ride stages from historic Bowers Mansion in Washoe Valley, Nev., (15 miles south of Reno) on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011.
The recreational ride takes cyclists along Northern Nevada’s back roads to soak up the sights: from forests, meadows, and mountains to quaint towns, farmland, and the jewel of the Sierra: Lake Tahoe. In addition to gobbling up beautiful landscape, riders will eat fresh and seasonal bounty at rest stops and the post-ride barbecue.
